SIT

Ephesians 2:6 – “ and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…

WALK

Ephesians 4:1 – “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to have a walk worthy of the calling with which you were called…

STAND

Ephesians 6:11 – “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

SIT – WALK – STAND

“The life of the believer always presents these three aspects – to God, to man, and to the Satanic powers. To be useful in God’s hand a man must be properly adjusted in respect of all three: his position (seated together with Christ), his walk (fully pleasing to Him), and his warfare.(standing firm in His strength and power of His might)”

Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12 – This is no afternoon contest that we’ll walk away from and forget in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

Ephesians 6:13 – Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done  all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14a – Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,

Ephesians 6:14b – having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

“The righteousness here is not justifying righteousness given the sinner when he first believes, by sanctifying righteousness, the product of the Holy Spirit in the life of the yielding saint.”
